At Arizona Premium Mattress Co., we know how much it means for our customers to get a restful sleep every night, and our Dunlop Latex Mattresses are the perfect choice for a perfect sleeping experience. Using a process that has been perfected over decades, Dunlop Latex provides a soft, comfortable mattress that cradles you in superior comfort, ensuring a restful, revivifying night’s sleep, or even the perfect power nap, every time you lay down. It’s also a very sturdy material as well, its dense particles providing several different densities that last longer than traditional spring mattresses.
Normal spring mattresses are the old reliable. Your parents slept on one, you probably grew up sleeping on one through school and college. But as time goes on, latex mattresses are more and more becoming the main mat most of us use to fall asleep on, and for good reason. The old reliable is made the old-fashioned way, and the includes a spring core that can be a breeding ground for mold, bacteria, dust mites, and incredibly-hard-to-get-rid-of bedbugs, one that can only be cleaned out by completely tearing your mattress apart. While it’s true that latex and its cousins cost a little more than springs, the benefits latex mattresses provide make the extra cost well worth your investment, and won’t creak when you lay down for the night.
Latex mattresses are created by “tapping” rubber trees - basically sticking a spigot in the tree and letting the sap leak out - and molding the sap that leaks out. It’s a hypoallergenic process that is 100% biodegradable and earth-friendly, made without any non-sustainable petrochemicals. The sap is then poured into molds and whipped in a centrifuge, creating a solid piece that is slightly more dense towards the bottom of the mattress than the top.
We’ve already talked about the longevity of natural latex versus spring mattresses, but it’s also worth knowing that latex mattresses provide a cooler sleeping experience. That’s definitely worth it, because far too many of us know the massive uncomfortability of waking up in a puddle of sweat. Combine that nastiness with the recommendation of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine that the ideal room should be like a cave: “cool, quiet and dark.” Also, the manufacturing process of a natural latex mattress acts as a built-in prevention between you and other things that might like to live on your bed, such as mold, mildew, and everybody’s least favorite tiny spider, the dust mite.
Of course, the many informercials for the less effective memory foam mattresses tout their motion separation (the overly eager woman or man jumping on a bed with the precariously-placed glass of red wine on the other side) and pressure point removal as compared to spring mattresses, but what they fail to tell you is that their mattresses are made with harsh chemicals and can smell funky when you lay down on it. However, our mattresses are all-natural and offer the exact same benefits without the weird smell. In fact, customers say the natural latex beds emanate a faint, sweet scent, almost like vanilla, upon their arrival that dissipates after a few days. If you end up missing the scent, there’s no one that says you can’t eat vanilla ice cream in bed to reproduce it.
So check out our all-natural latex foam mattresses right here, and remember, when it comes to making the right choice for your bedroom’s namesake, the best place to start is always Arizona Premium Mattress.
